How often should I service my bike?
It depends on how much you use your bike, how aggressively you ride and what you do yourself to keep it in shape. If you ride frequently, a tune-up once a month is recommended and a more extensive service at least once a year.
How do I know if my bike needs a tune-up?
If you notice unusual noises, difficulty shifting gears, reduced braking efficiency, or a rough ride, it’s time for a tune-up.
How long does a bike service take?
We aim to complete services within 24 hours. However, some services take longer, especially if parts need to be ordered, this makes it difficult to provide an exact timeframe. But we promise to have it ready as fast as we can!
How much does a bike service cost?
Our rates are 25 CHF per 15 minutes, plus the cost of any parts that need replacing. If the parts cost exceeds 100 CHF, we will contact you for approval before proceeding with the service.
Do you provide spare parts and accessories?
Yes, we stock a wide range of quality bike parts and components mainly from SRAM and Shimano. We also offer all the accessories you could desire to make your bike your own.
Can I bring my own parts for installation?
Yes, we can install parts that you provide. However, we recommend checking with us in advance to ensure compatibility.
Can you build a bike not bought from Ski Service?
Yes we can. Starting fee is 200CHF and after that the price is adjusted in the same way as a service, 25CHF for every 15min of work.
